    Secunda builders warehouse horrible managers handling the business

    I have bought over 60 glasses and the order took more than 3 weeks for the glass to be delivered, to make matter worse there is only one person cutting the glasses if he is on lunch or off then you don’t get the help, you have to wait for him to come back. Now this guy is responsible to cut glasses and boards I remember I had to give him at least two weeks for him to cut a high amount of white boards before he could eventually assist. I still don’t understand how is possible that one guy is supposed to assist the whole Secunda, Emba, Standerton, bethel, kinross and the neighbouring areas alone. this was raised with management and eventually he came back from his off day and assisted with the glasses the process took around 3 months just to get the glasses. Now they have cut one glass smaller and I have indicated to them in November, the manager promised to collect the glass and deliver the correct size, I even filled in the size ordering but to date I am still waiting for my glass. I think builders has the wrong managers handling the business because how is it possible that one guys is handling the cutting and if he is not at work then business stands, I have reported this issues to two different mangers but I think they don’t have sense of business. I am still waiting for the wrong glass to be collected and waiting for my glass, now my house is open in this raining seasons and I still don’t have my glasses.

    Do I think builders is a bad hardware?, No I think the wrong managers are running this business and they don’t understand the business philosophy because I am a customer of builders Mokopane and they have never gave me such challenges so I don’t think the company is the problem but the people running the company are giving the wrong miss interpretation.

    Will I be able to buy at builders Secunda, No I don’t think with this type of managers they understand the construction environment and they are not fit to support such conditions. You cannot expect an understaffed team to perform to the correct potential if the resource loading is incorrect.

    I even suggested for them to bring the correct size and collect the wrong one at my house but I was told about dispatching protocol that needs to be followed.

    How is it possible that the glass ordering that supposed to take 3 weeks now its taking more than 4 months

    I trust this email will find you well, I am a very angry customer and today is the day I feel the need to express my anger with regards to the Management and staff at the Vanderbijl Park branch.

    I am a regular customer there and I spends a lot of money within your group from buying my staff overhauls, safety wear etc. to the renovations we do equipment and building supplies such as grinding discs welding rods electrical supplies floor tiles the list goes on, builders warehouse has always been my go to place for many years, just last month I spent R35 000 alone on tiles, cement, ready mix and other goods and consumables ( blades, grinding discs etc.) for a project we were working on. I live in Villiers in the Free State where I also have a business. Last week Saturday I went to Builders in Vanderbijl Park to find a bathroom extractor fan (Bathroom where there is water and steam etc.) I was given a fan by one of the so called experts in that department only to find that it is a toilet extractor fan or for smoke extraction, I swiped my personal debit card because it was for my bathroom no problem getting home I realized it is not the right product so ok we all make mistakes. Today I drove back to Vanderbijl Park to exchange or then refund the incorrect item only to ne wet with hostility and rudeness which no caused me to also be rude. They would not do a refund because the slip showed it is a credit card (which it was not) to which I tried to explain it is a debit card, even showing them the slips from earlier where the same card also a debit card was swiped with four different slips showing debit card, cheque card and credit card trying to explain that it is the actual merchant point that shows the different types of transactions. I then asked to see the manager to which they first responded he is not available to see me, after insisting on seeing the manager they sent someone with the name Frank to me, wow was I blown over by his attitude of how dare I insist on seeing the manager type of attitude, not even allowing me to explain properly he said they could not refund me if I did not have the card with me because I could be money laundering …… wow money launder R600-00 seriously how stupid can a person be, he would not even let me show him the slips how the different till points actually debit the account with either a debit card, cheque card and credit card although it is actually a debit card and not a credit card. I was livered I tried to explain to him my husband is in Durban this week and is only back on Friday which means that I would now again have to drive to Vanderbijl Park on Saturday to get this lousy R600-00 back.

    Today I feel Builders gave me the incorrect product because their staff do not know their products, it cost me money to drive to exchange or refund the item today only not to be able to do this with any success and I have to now drive to builders again on Saturday to get this sorted, it is a disgusting shame that the client has to be treated like this, I deal with the public and clients on a daily basis in my work and when a client is upset I will try my best to calm the client down and try and resolve the matter it’s a win for both the store and the client, but not that store. I may have lost R600-00 today plus the fuel but I promise you that store has lost a hell of a lot more I spend on average R45 000 there per year and as it was I replace my staff work wear and safety gear every 6 months which is due now and that alone on average is about R12 000 above that we are doing a renovation where I would have purchased 20 x 20l buckets of Nu-Roof paint @ roughly R1000 each with the rollers etc. you do the maths. You guys can go to hell if you want to treat me like crap because of a mistake made by one of your staff and then the so called manager wants to convince me that I am stupid and do not know the difference between a debit card and a credit card, telling me to take it up with my bank what the heck ????? I promise you everyone I deal with will know about this and my next step is to take this to social media and none of my staff members will ever purchase from any builders no matter what or which branch thanks to the bad treatment I got from Vanderbijl Park. And yes you can shrug your shoulders saying I am only 1 complaining customer but let me tell you 1 bad review can change an entire organizations reputation.
