Services:
Replacement lifting cables
– The often neglected part of any sectional garage door. Galvanised lifting cables will rust with time and become brittle and fail. We replace cables and also offer 316 stainless steel lifting cables as an option for doors situated in high corrosion areas.
Tip-up garage door hinges
– Replacement tip-up garage door hinges. Double and single door. For double doors, we prefer to fit proper ball bearing hinges which helps to compensate for the quality of imported steel used.
Springs
– We install quality springs to both Sectional doors and tip-up doors. Another often neglected area of doors where poor quality springs have been used or incorrectly fitted. The correct springs are essential to the correct safe and reliable operation of a garage door. Sectional torsion springs need to be calculated after weighing the door and need to be within 5kg of the weight of the door and also correct for the door’s height. The spring life cycle is typically 10,000 cycles for decent domestic springs. This is 5 – 8 years in a typical domestic application. We also install Hi cycle springs for up to 100,000 cycles for commercial or high-volume applications.
Service & Maintenance
– As the largest moving part of your home, a garage door should be inspected and serviced annually. This ensures reliable operation and also for safety. A collapsed garage door will do little to keep uninvited guests out
