As someone who works from home full time, this move turned into a complete nightmare. Our delivery was delayed by over a week without notice or explanation, and I had to go without a desk or chair for work — which directly impacted my ability to do my job.
We were also left sleeping on the floor because our bed and essentials were stuck in transit. After days of discomfort, we were forced to buy an emergency mattress just to have somewhere to sleep. Even then, when our items finally arrived, many were wet, muddy, or damaged — and not a single one was blanket wrapped, despite being charged for it. We weren’t even given the chance to approve the additional wrapping charges.
This company showed a serious lack of care, communication, and professionalism throughout. I would strongly advise others to avoid going through what we did.
I booked SSTS Movers for a shared-load move with a confirmed delivery date of 31 March 2025. The delivery only arrived 9 days late, with no communication, updates, or apology. We were charged for additional items and wrapping without being consulted or given the opportunity to approve — yet many items arrived unwrapped, wet, muddy, and damaged.
Attempts to escalate were ignored, my number appears to have been blocked, and no terms and conditions were ever provided. After weeks of silence and missed deadlines from their side, I’ve had no choice but to lodge a formal complaint with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.
My total loss exceeds R55,000. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company and strongly urge others to exercise caution.

They have showed me that they experienced in moving ,We ordered a truck from Nelspruit to Stellenbosch on the 19 February 2025 and they collected and arrived in stellenbosch as on time Saturday,22 February 2025,all my furniture was all in tact and kept to there delivery date and keeping me inform from the pick up to delivery,well done Gerhard and Team leader Arthur on loading and off loading on the truck.Safe travels .And thank you againWayne
