Rouxville is a quiet, historic town situated in the southern reaches of the Free State, approximately 30 kilometres north of the Orange River and the Eastern Cape border. Established in 1864 on the farm Zuurbult, the town was named after the Reverend Pieter Roux, who was the first minister to serve the community.
