One Percent Accounting (1% Accounting) is an online accounting firm for small businesses in South Africa. Our Accountants handle bookkeeping, VAT, SARS tax returns, payroll and annual financial statements on Xero, for one monthly fee of 1% of business turnover (minimum R79 per month excl. VAT).
The 1% monthly accounting package includes:
– Daily bookkeeping and bank reconciliations on Xero
– VAT calculations and VAT returns submitted to SARS, with an annual VAT reconciliation
– Payroll for up to 10 employees
– Provisional tax and annual income tax returns
– Annual financial statements
Each business works with its own Accountant. Everything runs online, with meetings by video, so we work with small businesses in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Sandton, Cape Town, Durban and every other province of South Africa.
We work with (Pty) Ltd companies, close corporations and sole proprietors, including personal services businesses, private health and education practices, manufacturers, and trade, catering and accommodation businesses.

– SARS registrations for VAT, PAYE and UIF
– Tax compliance status (TCS) PINs
– Personal income tax returns (ITR12) through a 12-month Personal Income Tax membership for individuals
